FAQ
Are there tattoo-friendly pools in Hyogo?
Yes. Tattoo GO lists 11 pools in Hyogo. For each one, you can see how many visitors with tattoos got in ("Got in") or had trouble ("Hmm…"), and read their reports.
Which pools in Hyogo have the most "Got in" reports?
Places with many "Got in" reports include Nesta Resort Kobe, Yutorikku, 神戸市立ポートアイランドスポーツセンター（プール）. Reports come from visitors, so rules may have changed since.
Can I get in if I cover my tattoo with a sticker or bandage?
It depends on the facility. Some visitors report getting in with a cover sticker or a towel over a small tattoo, while others were turned away. Check the reports on each page and the facility’s own rules before you go.
Why do some onsen in Japan not allow tattoos?
In Japan, tattoos have long been associated with organized crime, so many baths ban them regardless of who you are. More places now welcome visitors with tattoos, or allow them in private baths.
