Inside the onsen there's still something written like tattoos are refused, so I wonder what the real situation is. I went in with tattoos and nobody said anything in particular, but maybe they just didn't notice?

*In light of the recent increase in foreign guests and changes in lifestyles, we will lift bathing restrictions for tattoos from April 1, 2025.
Please check before bathing
- People with tattoos (including stickers and paint) on their bodies cannot enter the building.
- People with illnesses that may infect others cannot bathe.
- People who are heavily intoxicated are asked to refrain from bathing.
- People who are menstruating are asked to refrain from bathing.
- Children of elementary school age or younger must be accompanied by a guardian of the same sex.
- Mixed bathing for boys and girls aged 7 and up is prohibited.
- We strictly refuse entry to members of or people associated with organized crime groups.
Please note that anyone who falls under the above and enters will be asked to leave.
