  1. Hmm…

I've been in about twice, but it feels like I was just lucky. The regulars all seem strict about it too. I've gone in pretending to be a foreigner, too. But I'll look for somewhere else. The water is nice.

  2. Hmm…

I checked at the front desk and they said it's a no.

  3. Got in

I have traditional Japanese tattoos across my whole back, but I got in.

  4. Got in

I finished my bath totally normally, and as I was leaving, I noticed a sign saying no irezumi or tattoos. As someone said in an earlier comment, I can only say I was lucky.

  5. I checked by phone before going, and they flatly turned me down. They said quite firmly, "We refuse it, no matter how small and even if it's covered!"

  6. Hmm…

Even if you ignore it and bathe, someone will snitch, and you'll get thrown out as soon as they spot you.

  7. I found this site after bathing. I can only think I got lucky...

  8. There was a man who seemed to be staff in the bath, and he pointed at me, and a female staff member nearby told me to leave.

  9. Hmm…

They said tattoos are absolutely banned. It was a no even covered with stickers.
