Got inI asked the staff and they said OK. I went in without hiding anything.
Got inWe were able to bathe with no issue in April 2019. There were others there too with tattoos.
Now there's no 'no tattoos' sign, and when I called to check it was OK. It's a really great place!
Hello, I'm confused. The photo shows a poster saying tattoos are forbidden, and you say there's no poster anymore and people with tattoos are welcome?
Got inThere were no 'prohibited' posters inside either, it was great! I have my whole back done and could still relax in the bath!
There were a few people with them. But getting into the tub with a towel draped over you to cover up isn't good.
Got inI checked by phone beforehand and they said it's fine, so I got in.
Hmm…A discriminatory onsen with a refusal sign planted firmly at the entrance.

You can get in without any problem, and there are several others, so you can feel at ease.
I saw this site, called too, and went! Thank you!
I'm sure it used to be a no, but I think it's been quite a while since they lifted the ban. I checked by phone, got the answer "We don't restrict it," and actually went and bathed. There were other people with tattoos too. Of course, I was able to bathe with no problem. There are two types of spring water, so you can enjoy each, and there are lots of outdoor baths, so it feels amazingly open. In winter you can soak while looking at the snow, and in summer you can have a refreshing soak while feeling the breeze. It's a hugely popular bath in every season. During holiday periods like Golden Week and Obon, the parking lot fills up and you can't get in. The best is to go on a weekday afternoon when it's empty.
I got in. I want to go again soon.
I'm a local. You can get in with no problem.
Confirmed by phone that you can get in even with tattoos. September 18, 2023
They let you bathe without any problem. I'm grateful.
