You can get into Hottarakashi Onsen even with tattoos! It was rainy and cloudy, but I'm glad I went. The water was on the lukewarm side, though.

People with tattoos were bathing normally too.
There were people with tattoos.
When I checked at the front desk, they politely told me, "We don't restrict them at all! Please understand."
You can get in. I don't have tattoos myself, but my friend got in. What are the people lying that you can't get in so afraid of?

It was my first time here, and it's a really great place! You can totally get in with tattoos.
I've been coming to this onsen for over 10 years and get in with no problem. I have tattoos on my chest, legs and wrists.
I have tattoos on my shoulders, upper arms and ankles, but no problem at all. There are two kinds of outdoor baths too, it was the best!
