I don't think there were any "refused" notices in the facility either. Gazing at Mt. Yotei from the outdoor bath and thinking, "I climbed that!" was moving! A super relaxing onsen!

I went in winter on the way back from skiing. There were several other people with tattoos in the bath too, and the locals didn't seem to mind at all.
I've been many times, and it's full of tattoos.
