I came here just for a bath while traveling. I have a tattoo covering my whole back, but I was able to bathe. I'd mostly been going to small neighborhood sento, so I was really happy with such a luxurious bath for the first time in a while. The water is acidic with a sulfur smell and really works on fatigue. I definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The price is 350 yen for adults, which is unbelievable considering the quality.

I was able to bathe. I checked by phone in advance, and checked again at the front desk. Tattoos were OK.
You can get in like normal. My husband has them, and my oldest son can't go in the women's bath anymore, so being able to get in is a huge help.
Other onsen ban them from bathing, so why? It's such a good onsen, but its class is plummeting!
I'm against irezumi!! Kids bathe here too, and seeing antisocial people gives me the creeps. Just being in the same space gives me the creeps.

Nothing written at the entrance or anywhere, and I saw people with them besides me. I went on a weekday just after noon, during a quiet time.
Please at least follow the etiquette. If people with no morals or manners start to stand out, there's a risk it'll become a no. It's quiet around mealtimes, so try to shift your timing as much as possible, and let's make an effort so everyone can enjoy their bath.
