Latest info on Bando no Yu. It had been announced that it would close on March 31, but a buyer came forward, and it will stay open. They'll also replace the boiler in February. But it's unclear when after April the reopening will be. It's also unclear about tattoos, but since it's going to a private operator, maybe they won't be allowed. Sky Therme Utopia Akagi (formerly Shikishima no Yu) changed over to being run by the Hanayu Spa Resort group, so that's likely there too.
I don't mind people with tattoos using the place, but I'd like people who are always intimidating and don't belong in a public place to stay away. It was really unpleasant.
You can get in, but it's being torn down in March 2021? Either way, it looks like it's going out of business. Maybe that's why the restaurant hasn't been open since September 2020. Too bad.

I've been about five times, and you can get in. The staff are nice, and the night view is beautiful too.
Most welfare-related bathing facilities won't turn you away. This place was the same.
