I've been here many times, and according to the notice I just saw, they seem to have introduced tattoo cover stickers, 2 at 10 cm x 14 cm (500 yen).
I've used it many times and it's fine.
I stayed twice and went in as-is, and nobody said anything.
They give you up to two B6-size cover stickers per person, so the main bath is OK if you can fully cover them. They also had a private bath.
