When I went in middle school (2002), there was a guy bathing with a big outline-style "Hannya" tattoo on his back, so local people with tattoos know it's one of the few places where you can bathe with tattoos. I think it's just tolerated, though.
Also, someone who posted on February 28, 2023 wrote that they could bathe too, so I thought, some things don't change even as time goes by.
But,
this place closed once on October 1, 2023, and reopened after renovation on August 1, 2024. The operator is different, so I don't know if "people with tattoos are tolerated" now the same as before.
