I have small tattoos on my lower back and the top of my foot, each about the size of two 500-yen coins, and I'd been able to use this place many times for years. But yesterday I was stopped for the first time. I was just about to go into the bathing area, so I said, "OK, then I'll go to the front desk now and cover them with stickers," and they said, "Oh, I've already seen them, so it's a no. Please leave." It's my fault for forgetting, since other facilities don't stop me much, but even when I've been stopped, I've always been told, "Please buy stickers at the front desk and put them on before bathing," so I was stunned when the staff member said, "I've seen them, so please leave." Why refuse me? It was obvious I'm not in organized crime, nobody else had seen them, and their answer was "It's too late to put them on now." It left me feeling uneasy. They're nothing but tattoo police.

As stated on the website too, they refuse. Whether or not you're doing anything bad, I think it's best to use the place according to their rules. However, they said that if it's small enough to cover with a sticker or similar, it was fine to cover it with a store-bought sticker and use the facility. The facility has a good reputation and I wanted to go... too bad.
Having tattoos doesn't mean I've done anything wrong, so it should be fine.
It seems all the chain stores refuse tattoos.
The website says: "People with tattoos, tattoo stickers, or who are heavily drunk are strictly refused entry."
