Got inI got in!
There was a serious, real-deal guy bathing. And my companion said that on the women's side, a woman with a dragon across her whole back was bathing with her kids. Probably a married couple. I do think they could at least use the private bath, though. It seems the hotel doesn't say anything.
Got inYou can get in!
Got inAre tattoos still OK now?
Got inYou can get in without anyone saying anything.
Got inOK without covering up. I confirmed with the facility staff!
Got inIf you ask through the official website, they'll reply that you can use it with no problem even with tattoos.
Got inI don't think it says anywhere that you can't get in? I've never seen anyone with full-body tattoos, but people with quite a lot on their upper body often go in.
Hmm…They said entry is basically not allowed. They don't have tattoo cover stickers available either.
Got inTattoos are OK. No warning signs either. Even when the staff see them, they don't say anything.

From February 2025, Akazawa is finally going to restrict them too. If it's a size that can be hidden with up to 2 stickers of 11 x 20 cm, you can buy stickers at the front desk and bathe. They do rounds often, so it's hard to sneak in. Unfortunately, if yours covers your whole back, you'll have to give up.
You can get in. But people stare. Let's follow the etiquette when bathing.
I'm grateful to Akazawa Onsen for letting me bathe. How you bathe is each person's own matter of morals. Whether or not they have tattoos, I notice people without tattoos who have sloppy bathing manners too. If anything, people with tattoos seem to have more respectful manners.
You can get in! To the people saying things like "use the private bath": since the business itself says it's allowed, why don't you go to a place that doesn't allow tattoos?
You can get in normally!

Easily OK. Everyone come on over.
You can get in with no problems. I confirmed with the facility too.
A man who looked like he was from antisocial forces, with a full back piece done with real dedication, was bathing with his kid. The disappointing part was that the parent and child went into the onsen without rinsing off or washing their private parts. I'd like people to follow at least the bare minimum of rules.
