The website says tattoos are OK. A good onsen that fits the times.
Takayu Onsen Kyodo Yokujo Attakayu has been tattoo-friendly since it first opened. Of course, anyone can use it as long as they follow normal bathing etiquette. If you're still worried, there's also a private bath.
I've seen lots of people with tattoos bathing there, so I think it's fine.
