🏠Tattoo-Friendly Tanning Salons in Tokyo

Yes. Tattoo GO lists 46 tanning salons in Tokyo. For each one, you can see how many visitors with tattoos got in ("Got in") or had trouble ("Hmm…"), and read their reports.

Places with many "Got in" reports include Men's Brazilian Wax Hair Removal & Spray Tanning Luxy Bronze, ザ・サンラウンジ蒲田店, ザ・サンラウンジ大森店. Reports come from visitors, so rules may have changed since.

It depends on the facility. Some visitors report getting in with a cover sticker or a towel over a small tattoo, while others were turned away. Check the reports on each page and the facility’s own rules before you go.

In Japan, tattoos have long been associated with organized crime, so many baths ban them regardless of who you are. More places now welcome visitors with tattoos, or allow them in private baths.
